My story

Meet Bear – the big softie with an even bigger heart. If you’ve been dreaming of a giant, snuggly best friend who thinks he’s pocket-sized, say hello to Bear—a 4-to-5-year-old Shepherd mix with the soul of a teddy bear and the charm to match. Bear is a friendly, affectionate goofball who loves people and gets along great with other dogs. In playgroups, he’s social, easy-going, and always trying to spark some playful fun. On walks, he’s a gentleman—well-mannered on leash and happy to stay close to his people. But what truly sets Bear apart is his giant heart. He talks to you when he wants attention (especially belly rubs), and his favorite place in the world? Right on your lap. Yep, this oversized lovebug is convinced he’s a lap dog—and honestly, we’re not about to argue with him. Friendly and social with people and dogs Craves affection and belly rubs Walks beautifully on leash Sweet, playful, and ready to be someone’s best friend Bear is ready for a forever home where he can be cuddled, cherished, and treated like the lovable king he is. If your heart (and your couch) has room for a gentle giant, Bear is waiting for you. Come meet this big ball of love—you bring the belly rubs, he’ll bring the joy! He is available to adopt in the Greater Los Angeles area. Please visit our website to complete an adoption application for Bear: https://jasonheigl.foundation/adopt/bear/

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bear, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
