My story

Kiwi is no ordinary cat — she’s a true hero in every sense of the word. This approximately 1-year-old spayed female has shown more heart and resilience than we could have imagined. Kiwi came to us with a traumatic injury: a compound fracture with bone protruding from her hind leg and a severe infection. She was also heavily pregnant. In order to save her life, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to separate her from her kittens so she could undergo emergency amputation. It was a choice no one took lightly — but we didn’t want to lose her. Incredibly, after surgery, Kiwi began lactating and accepted a group of orphaned kittens as her own. She nurtured and raised them with love and tenderness, despite all she had endured. Now fully healed, Kiwi is bright, affectionate, and absolutely thriving. She’s ready for a forever home where she can finally be the one receiving the love and care she so freely gives. Are you ready to give Kiwi the forever she deserves?

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Kiwi, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
