My story

Meet Layla — a certified good girl!Layla is as sweet and gentle as they come. At about 2.5 years old and 48 pounds, this calm and loving pup gets along beautifully with kids, cats, and other dogs. She’s on the more submissive side, making her an easy addition to just about any home. She likes to run around and play with other dogs for a bit, and then just chill and hang out.Layla was surrendered to us when her family’s living situation changed, but she clearly came from a home full of love. She’s house trained, crate trained, and already knows commands like “sit” and “down.” She’s eager to please and always ready to soak up your affection.With her soft eyes, calm demeanor, and loving personality, Layla is ready to bring peace and joy to a new forever family. She’s the kind of dog who just wants to be near you—whether it’s for a walk, a cuddle, or a quiet nap nearby.If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a heart of gold, Layla is your girl.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it.
