My story

Meet Rumba – Loyal, Smart, and Full of Potential Rumba is a classic cattle dog through and through—sharp, loyal, and deeply devoted to her people once she knows and trusts them. She may take some time to warm up to strangers, but for those lucky enough to be in her circle, she’s affectionate and loving in her own unique way. Rumba is great on leash and loves structured walks where she can use her mind and body. She’s just beginning to learn how to meet other dogs and will benefit from slow, positive introductions. She has shown some signs of resource guarding her space, so she’ll thrive in a home that understands canine body language and is respectful of her boundaries. Because of her herding breed instincts and sensitivity, Rumba is looking for an experienced, adult-only home—ideally one familiar with the cattle dog personality. She’ll do best with a patient adopter who can provide structure, consistency, and the time she needs to settle in and bond.
