My story

Meet Pico! Are you looking for an adventure buddy who also loves to cuddle up on the couch with his person (or people)? Look no further than this sweet land seal. He’s a little over a year old, housebroken and crate trained, but definitely wants to sleep in your bed (or at least your room). His snuggles are next level and he can’t wait to show you! He is good with cats and with gentle kids. His foster family has a 1 year old who he is great with. He likes other dogs and loves to play with them, but due to guarding of his food and toys (left over from his life before he came to Cause for Paws), we would recommend he either be the only dog OR that toys and food are put away when he’s interacting with other dogs. He knows “sit” and is working with his foster family on other commands. He definitely has some puppy energy left at times, but is also very laid back. He would do great in a home with a fenced yard, but that’s definitely not a requirement, as he does well on a leash, too.  Pico would love to be your new best friend! Pico is crate trained and settles in like a champ, making him a great companion for families on the go or anyone looking for a pup with good house manners. He’s also a fantastic car buddy—riding in the car is just another fun adventure for him. Affectionate and gentle, Pico loves spending time with his people and is great with kids. His sweet nature makes him a wonderful family dog or loyal best friend. He’s still finding his stride and gaining confidence every day, but with a little love (and a few treats), he’s blossoming into the happy, healthy pup he was meant to be.
