My story

Axle's story began on a country property where he was abandoned alongside 14 other dogs. Despite spending most of his life outdoors, you’d never guess it—this sweet boy is all about the indoor comforts now! Whether it's curling up on the couch or snuggling in bed, Axle just wants to be close to his humans. He’s a laid-back, housetrained gentleman who goes outside just long enough to do his business, then heads right back in to relax. He loves to sleep in, is extremely food motivated (making training a breeze), and completely ignores cats—a rare and wonderful trait! Axle would thrive in a calm home where he can soak up all the attention. He’d prefer to be your one and only, but could potentially coexist with another older, submissive dog. If you're looking for a gentle, low-maintenance companion who’s past the puppy chaos and full of love to give, Axle is your guy.
