My story

To learn more about Gunner, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Gunnnnner is ready to goooooo! Gunner will exercise with you at your pace. He walks right beside you graciously. Or, if you prefer to jog/run, he'll pace right along with you. He's quite the extrovert who likes to sniff and get pet by everyone he meets. He's an affectionate and handsome boy ready to say hi to every person that crosses his path. Gunner is incredibly gentle and loves to have quiet nights with his people, also. While he can be a little eager, he's ready to take a little chill when asked nicely. When excited, he wants to hold your hand... in his mouth. He is a gentle giant who will take your hand, and by telling him "leave it," he'll quickly respond. Gunner has great potty habits and can stay inside the whole night without waking you for a potty break. He has free roam and hasn't gotten into any trouble while in foster care (no destruction or food stealing). He goes in the crate when he gets tired all by himself. Gunner likes everything but the vacuum and will excuse himself to another room when it's running. He doesn't use his deep bark often, but if there is a bump in the night, he'll let you know. Gunner can get a little distracted when there's all the excitement of the world going on around him. He may benefit from getting to know you in a quieter environment so he can get to know you even better. He absolutely loves a good scratch, a good pet, and a good opportunity to play. Come meet Gunner and watch his tail thump with energy as you give him attention and show him you're ready to be his forever friend.
