My story

Memphis is a 78lb, energetic dog who never met a toy he didn’t want to play with! Memphis enjoys long walks (and runs) outside as well as play sessions. He is strong on the leash, but that just means he is even more eager to join and motivate you for your daily jogs! Memphis came to the shelter because his previous owner could no longer care for him. Memphis is the definition of high energy. He could use a dedicated family willing to give him exercise and work with him on training and manners! When Memphis met two other dogs at the shelter, he was energetic and interested but came on strong with the other dogs. His no-filter greeting style may be a bit much for some pups. We highly recommend bringing any canine family members to the shelter to meet Memphis and make sure he is a good fit for you pack! This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!Be sure to check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
