My story

Meet Smiling Sunni! Sunni is a friend to all she meets- both humans and dogs- and is happiest when she's prancing around with her friends! Sunni was found as a stray dog and we haven't been able to track down any owners for her. The shelter is scary but she's not letting it get her down! She greets any new friends with a wagging tail and loose boy, and loves prancing along with her cutie little paws. Sunni is now available for adoption at ACCT Philly. She greeted me with a super wiggly body, jumping up on the door. I had to carefully avoid her paws as she was jumping up so excitedly, but was able to leash her pretty easily. On leash she just excitedly prances- it’s so cute! Biggest cuddle bug! Outside, she loves to cuddle and was in my arms as much as she could be. Seems to know sit and takes treats super gently. Loves treats and tried to sniff them out of my bag every chance she could. Pancaked walking into the shelter then did fine going back to her kennel. Behavior Eval Per Staff 4/20/25: Kennel Presentation Easy to leash/social Presented at the front of kennel. Eager to get outside, no issues looping. Leash Skills Pulls Minimally On Leash Does an adorable "prance" while walking Handleability Loose/Allows all handling Met several volunteers making enrichment in the volunteer office - loose and sociable with everyone. Sat very well for treats, took them gently. Allowed all handling: head, ears, legs, shoulders, back, hind. Tag Did not attempt Toys Interest but does not take possession Caught her attention with a squeaky toy, which she sat for - she sniffed it but wasn't interested. Color Level Green Per Play group 4/19/25: PG 4/19: Sunni (Uzi) was steerable with water at the gate and was very curious of all the dogs. She was friendly and social. She greeted everyone with a mid level wagging tail and walked off to do her own thing. She interacted with the dogs more over time but only when they approached her.
