My story

Hey there, I’m Lou — a 7-year-old Chihuahua mix with a brown and white coat, weighing in at a charming 15 pounds of pure sweetness. I was found wandering alone and brought to the shelter on 04/08/2025, and while I may have gotten a little lost, I haven’t lost hope that my forever family is out there. I’m a laid-back, gentle soul who loves the simple things in life — a cozy bed, a kind touch, and a treat or two (which I’ll take ever so politely, thank you very much!). I already know how to sit for treats, and I’ll show you just how good I am if you’ve got a little snack in your pocket. I’m already neutered, up to date on all my shots, and I’ve tested negative for heartworms, so I’m ready to head home today! Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
