My story

Montana first came to us 3 years ago as a 5-yo mom with kittens. She was adopted soon after, but was returned to us recently (through no fault of her own). She is a beautiful calico (with a cool checkerboard pattern on her back!) and is very sweet and loving. She does fine with one of the other cats in her foster home, as long as he leaves her alone. But she'll definitely stand up for herself when she needs to. She really just needs a home where she can hang out with her people and receive the love she deserves. As a middle-aged girl, she isn't particularly playful, but sometimes she will play when the mood strikes.  Medical considerations:  Montana doesn't have any teeth at this point, but her oral health is good - no inflammatory issues. And, yes, she can eat dry food just as easily as wet! Also important to know is that Montana IS FIV+, and has been since she initially came to us. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus is a very. manageable chronic immuno-suppressive condition. That means that cats can live many years, even a normal lifespan, with FIV, and only require a safe indoors-only home, good quality food, and annual vet visits, all of which help to keep their immune systems functioning at peak performance.  Montana Skye's adoption fee is $155. Our adoption fee includes Spay/neuter, Combo test for FIV/FeLV, all age-appropriate vaccines, Deworming, up to date flea/tick/heartworm prevention, microchipping, and all other treatments that might have been necessary prior to adoption.  Purr Nation holds regular cat adoption events at Petsmart in Woodstock every weekend.
