My story

Quick Facts Name: Miyoung  Age: 2 years old (born June 2023)  Gender: Female  Neutered/Spayed: Scheduled  Breed: Mixed Breed  Color: White Weight: 12kg     All About MeMy journey didn’t begin in the easiest way. One day, I suddenly found myself alone by the side of a road, unsure of what had happened or why. A kind person saw me and reported what had happened—and that’s how I ended up in a shelter. It was a difficult place, and I was eventually placed on a list for euthanasia. But then, just in time, I was given a second chance.Now, I’ve been learning what safety feels like. Every day, I’m discovering more about kindness, comfort, and the joy of being close to humans who care. And now, I’m ready to find a home where I can truly begin the next chapter of my life.   My PersonalityIf you’re looking for a sweet, loving companion who wants nothing more than to be near you, I might be your girl. I absolutely adore people. Once we’ve had a moment to connect, I’ll gently press my side against you and sit quietly, just happy to be close. I love physical affection and even enjoy being picked up. If you’ve earned my trust, I’ll show you my belly—a sign that you’ve found your way into my heart. I can be a little cautious when meeting someone new, but if you offer me a treat, I’ll happily come closer and get to know you. With a little warmth and patience, I open up quickly.   Social Skills• With People: I’m affectionate, curious, and truly enjoy human company. I love resting beside people and just being near them—it makes me feel safe.• With Kids: I haven’t had the chance to spend time with children under 13, so I’d do best in a calm home where any young people are dog-savvy and respectful.• With Other Dogs: Right now, I’m learning how to feel more comfortable around other dogs. I’m not the type to seek out canine friendships, and sometimes I get protective of my space. Because of this, I’m currently training with professionals to help me feel more relaxed and confident in new situations. I’ve made progress, and with continued support, I’ll keep growing.• With Cats: I’ve seen cats while out walking and found them interesting, but I’m happy to follow my person’s lead and move on when asked.   On My Walks‍I love walks—they’re one of my favorite parts of the day! Sometimes I get a little excited and pull on the leash, but I listen well and enjoy having a person to guide me. I’m alert and curious when we’re out and about, and if I see a stranger, I might give a little bark just to let you know I’m paying attention. I’m also very good in the car and settle quietly in a kennel when we go for rides.   Life at HomeAt home, I’m tidy and well-mannered. I prefer to go to the bathroom outside and am good about waiting until walk time. I’m not possessive with people when it comes to food, but I prefer to eat in peace if another dog is nearby. What I love most is simply being near my person. Whether we’re sitting together on the couch or just quietly sharing space, I feel happiest when I know you’re there. I’m the kind of dog who will look at you with gentle eyes and remind you that you’re not alone.   My Ideal HomeI’m searching for a home that can offer me love, understanding, and a steady routine. I would do best as the only dog, where I can build strong bonds without having to compete for attention.
