My story

Meet Israel! This sweet boy is estimated to be around 4 years old and is so full of love! He feeds heavily off of the energy of other dogs in his vicinity, becoming easily overstimulated by the presence of so many other animals in the kennels. We`re fairly certain that he`s Deaf, or at the very least hard of hearing, so that likely contributes to his kennel anxiety. When outside of his kennel, he is incredibly affectionate and 100% believes that he is a lap dog. He`s not afraid to get all up is your business to maximize his lovin`s and has definitely never heard of the concept of personal space. He wants nothing more than to love and be loved by everyone he meets! He takes treats very gently and loves toys and treats that make him think, such as wobble kongs and snuffle mats. If you have room in your heart and home for a HoH house hippo who would do best as an only dog, come in and meet Israel any day of the week between noon and 7 pm! Adoptions are free and include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home.
