My story

Meet Cooper – Your Next Adventure Buddy!  Looking for a dog who’s as handsome as he is hilarious? Meet Cooper – an 18-month-old, 46-pound Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. Cooper is the total package: goofy, gorgeous, and ready to be your best friend. His beautiful mahogany coat is soft and wavy – perfect for pets and cuddle sessions – and his expressive eyes say, 'Let's go have some fun!' This sweet boy came from a situation where he had a little too much freedom and not enough structure. He was known to explore the neighborhood, make some unscheduled visits to the local chicken coop, and enjoy a good dumpster dive – not out of mischief, but because he’s a smart, energetic pup who was just looking for a job to do! Cooper loves people, is great with other dogs, and thrives on attention, affection, and play. He hasn't been tested with cats yet, but that can be arranged. What he really needs now is a family who understands what a young, active working-breed mix like Cooper needs: exercise, enrichment, and lots of love.  What Cooper's Dream Home Looks Like: A fenced yard (non-negotiable – he’s a free spirit who needs safe boundaries!) Possibly another playful dog to romp with Maybe even some kids to entertain and protect Daily activities, training, or even a “job” – Cooper loves to stay busy and learn He’s currently learning leash manners and is a quick study with consistency and patience. With a bit of structure and a whole lot of love, Cooper is going to be an amazing lifelong companion. If your heart and home are ready for a loving, lively, and loyal pup, Cooper’s ready to meet you!  Interested? Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 5, 2025, 11:24 am
