Chucho (New Digs)

My story

Meet the cuddly and attention-loving Chucho. He is a 7-year-old, 58 lb, yellow labrador mix, with an affectionate demeanor and gets along great with kids. He was adopted from the Fort Worth Animal Care and Control Shelter in April 2020 when our toddler made a connection with him while he was waiting in line for some ear medication with his foster family. We were meeting other dogs at the time to see which would fit best, and they kept coming back to each other! Chucho is a very chill and low-energy pup who loves to get all of the attention and pets that he can. He loves to sleep most of the time and plays chase when he has a case of the zoomies. Chucho loves to hide toys and bones more than chewing them! He gets along with kids but gets anxious around other dogs/cats, so he would do best as the only pet. Chucho likes to cuddle up with his humans and will happily be a lap dog if you let him. An ideal home for Chucho would be one with a young family that enjoys the company of a loving dog or a person/couple in early retirement that could use a low-energy companion. Chucho walks on a leash, is house trained, and will never hesitate to communicate something he wants or needs! He is one smart pup! He loves to chase squirrels, eat treats (especially carbs; beware of where you store your bread!), and take walks. Unfortunately, we are moving out of the country and cannot take sweet Chucho with us. This lovable pup is deserving of the perfect furever home. Could it be with you?
