My story

Hi there! My name is Ben and I'm a 4-year-old, neutered, Shepherd mix that currently weighs about 66lbs. I'm a timid sweetheart that's still learning how to 'dog'. So far, I'm enjoying my time here at PHS! I'm experiencing a bunch of new things like going for walks, getting cuddles, and making new human and dog friends! Walks and cuddles are my favorite! My PHS volunteer friends say I'm a expert walker! I don't mind the company of other dogs, but I'm not really sure how to play yet. I'm hoping for a patient and loving family preferably with teens and adults only that is prepared to continue teaching me how to be a member of the family. I'm a pretty big boy, so experience with large breed dogs is a plus! Please be sure to bring the entire household, including any resident dogs, so we can get properly acquainted before I join the family. ID# A959289  Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around! To check on an animal's adoption status, please call 650-340-7022 during normal business hours to speak with an adoption counselor.
