My story

Lottie is in a foster home while she waits for her forever home. If you are interested in meeting with her, please send an email to PRAS-FOSTER@NNVA.GOV.Meet Lottie8-Year-Old Spayed Female * German Shepherd Dog * SeniorHello there, I’m Lottie! Don’t let my age fool you—I may be 8 years old, but I’ve got plenty of pep in my step and a playful spirit that keeps everyone smiling. I’m a bright, loving, and occasionally goofy gal who learns fast and loves to show off my smarts. At heart, I’m a loyal companion who enjoys being near my people, but I also appreciate a little independence. I`m mellow and relaxed in the home, always happy to snuggle up for a quiet evening after a day of exploring or playing outside.I get along well with larger, respectful dogs, especially younger ones who can match my playful energy. However, I’m not a fan of small pets or smaller dogs—my strong prey drive just makes that a tough match. When I’m outside playing, I sometimes get a little too excited and might nip at legs in play. It’s nothing mean—just my way of having fun—but it’s something my new person should be aware of. The good news is: I’m easily redirected and eager to please.Despite the “senior” label, I’ve got years of love, fun, and companionship to give. I’m gentle, sweet, and full of life, and I’m looking for a home where I can be part of the family and continue making people smile.Ready to welcome a loyal, spirited, and snuggly best friend into your life? Come meet Lottie—you’d never guess she’s a senior.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Lottie (IN FOSTER), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
