My story

Meet Leon — small dog, big personality.Leon is a 1-year-old pup with a goofy charm and a whole lot of love to give. He’s the kind of dog who will make you laugh with his silly bunny-hop zoomies and then melt your heart when he curls up next to you on the couch. He’s confident, affectionate, and always ready to be part of the action.Leon gets along well with the three other dogs in his foster home (big and small), has been respectful with cats, and does well around kids. He loves toys, treats, and rolling around in the grass like it’s his personal playground.He’s house-trained, walks great on a leash, and rides well in the car. He does not love being crated—he’ll cry when the door is closed, so a home where he can be out and about rather than locked away would be ideal. He sleeps best on the couch or a dog bed.Now, for the honest stuff: Leon is still working on his excitement levels. When you come home—or when new guests arrive—he may jump and do some playful nipping. It’s not aggression; it’s just his way of saying “I missed you!” a little too enthusiastically. He’s learning better manners every day, and with consistent guidance, he’s showing great progress.Leon eats like a champ (slow feeders recommended!) and is happy to be your sidekick on any adventure, whether that’s a walk around the block or a road trip.Leon is currently in foster care outside of the shelter.
