Quick Facts Name: Atte Age: 1.5 year old (born August 2023) Gender: Female Neutered/Spayed: Yes Breed: Terrier Mix Color: Brown Weight: 7kg All About MeHi, I’m Atte! I’m a petite 1.5-year-old terrier mix with a soft brown coat, weighing in at just 7kg (15.5lb). I spent the first part of my life living in a city shelter with my mom, so I didn’t get much exposure to the outside world—but now that I’m free, I’m slowly learning what it means to be a beloved pup.I’m a little shy at first, but give me a treat and some kindness, and I’ll be melting into your hands in no time. Once I trust you, I love to stay close and lean into your affection—especially after everything I’ve been through. My PersonalityI have a sweet and gentle spirit. At first, I might seem a little unsure, but I’m not the type to hide or be fearful for long. Once I feel safe, I open up quickly and enjoy human company very much. I’m curious, observant, and a little silly once I feel at ease. I’ve never met children before, so I’ll need slow introductions, but I don’t mind being picked up and carried gently. Social Skillslike other dogs and enjoy saying hi—especially if they’re close to my size—but I’m not always eager to play. Some dogs I love, others I’m more indifferent toward. I don’t have a strong preference; I just go with the flow and keep things peaceful. Energy and ActivitiesI’ve got a balanced energy level. I enjoy exploring the outdoors and sniffing everything in sight, but I also know how to chill out and rest when I’m tired. That said, I’m still working on my leash manners. Sometimes I get excited and pull in the direction I want to go, and other times I’m too busy following a scent trail to notice the walk at all. Training and HabitsI’m still learning! I need a bit more help with potty habits and leash skills. I’m also not a big fan of kennels right now—honestly, I really dislike being closed in. I’ll need someone patient to help me see it as a safe space over time. I’m not a barker, but if I want something badly enough, I might use a little voice to let you know. My Ideal HomeI’m looking for a gentle, patient person or family who will help me continue my journey into the world. I’d love someone who doesn’t mind going at my pace, will give me guidance, and maybe has a calm doggy friend for me to learn from—or I can be your one and only! I may not have had the easiest start to life, but I have so much love to give.If you’re ready to open your heart to a little brown sweetheart with big eyes and an even bigger heart, I’d love to meet you.
