My story

Meet Sassafras – a vibrant calico with a personality as bold as her patchwork coat. Sassafras is the definition of a velcro cat: she’ll follow you from room to room, curl up in your lap the moment you sit down, and protest loudly if you try to sneak off without her. Equal parts affectionate and opinionated, she’s got a sassy streak that keeps things interesting—expect dramatic meows, strategic tail flicks, and the occasional judgmental glare. But beneath all that attitude is a heart full of love, and she’ll shower you with purrs, headbutts, and all the snuggles you can handle.For current adoption fees, please see our website, www.metrodetroitanimals.org. Adoption fee includes: age-appropriate vaccinations, spay or neuter, microchip, ID tag, fecal / worming, basic physical and behavior assessment. Dogs (6 months and older) receive an occult heartworm test. For an additional $20, cats (12 weeks and older) can be tested for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) / FLV (feline leukemia).
