Introducing Zuma! He was brought to the shelter on 4/10 because his former pet parent could no longer take care of him. Zuma is only 9 years old and weighs a mere 64lbs. The volunteers describe him as sweet but shy, cute, and obedient. And that is understandable when he has been placed in an environment that is scary. But the volunteers are working with him to help build his confidence and let him know this is not his fault. He is a golden boy who doesn't deserve to live his remaining years in a loud, overcrowded shelter. He is a smart young man as he knows sit when asked and he may know more. He is great on a leash and he is also dog and cat friendly. That is pretty awesome for our Zuma! Please take some time and visit with him in Run 82; his ID is 9295. He is waiting for you! Please help him find his way out of the shelter and into your heart, home and family. If you have space in your heart and your home for a senior, please consider him! Zuma is current on vaccines, neutered and microchipped and tested negative for heartworms. Please take some time and schedule to meet this awesome kiddo and get to know him a little better. Zuma is probably what you have been looking for all this time. He is patiently waiting for his forever family to save his life. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heart worm or combo test and a microchip.
