My story

Jolene is a gorgeous cat with a silky-soft coat and a personality full of charm and attitude. A retired mama, she’s now looking for a chill, loving home where she can be spoiled like she deserves.While she is shy and easily startled, her personality shines through once she’s given the time and space to feel safe. With enough attention and patience, Jolene will warm up to you, often coming over to ask for pets. (Though the promise of treats may have something to do with her bravery!)During the day she is a mellow companion, often curled up on a soft blanket or tucked under some furniture. But in the evenings? That’s when her orange cat side comes out to play! Jolene loves chasing spring toys, ping pong bills, and darting after a wand toy or string. She’s playful, clever, and is even learning tricks like standing for treats. She is very vocal and will trill, meow, and chirp her opinions.While Jolene enjoys affection and will come sit near you once she trusts you, she has clear boundaries and isn’t a fan of being picked up. She’s a bit sassy, knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to let you know.Jolene would thrive in a quiet, patient home with people who respect and understand her boundaries and communication. Once she trusts you, she’ll reward you with head butts, biscuit-making sessions, and her sweet little trills as she pads around the house like the elegant queen she is.She may be a bit nervous at first, but when she finds something she likes she leans all the way in. Jolene is a sweet girl with just enough orange-cat spunk to keep you smiling.Jolene is negative for FIV and feline leukemia. Like all ACR cats, Jolene has been treated for fleas and parasites and is up-to-date on vaccines.
