My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I lived with children in my previous home.I have lived with cats in my previous home.I am playful and cute!Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!Luna is an ever so slightly shy cat, who is in the cubby, appearing fairly calm and who enjoyed petting. She leaned in gently for cheek, rubs, sometimes retreating slightly, and then coming forward. When a partial pick up was attempted, she slunk into the main kennel going on the shelf and then rolled over on her side and enjoyed more petting before going back into the cubby. She came partly out of the cubby for squeeze up treats, which she ate and then went back inside again. She's an affectionate and sweet cat who may just need a little time to warm up.Luna interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience.A volunteer writes: Luna is the epitome of the game of "cat and mouse". Luna would wait eagerly at the front of her kennel for me to visit and when I would open the kennel she thought it was funny to play hard to get and prance away. I caught onto her game quickly and told her she wasn't fooling me. Instead of closing her door and moving on, I waited... she quickly came out, a bit hesitant, but ready and brave to say hello! She rolled around showing off her belly which I merely observed while I scratched her chin. She really mad me laugh by how many poses she chose to strike as I snapped photo after photo.
