My story

Meet Jazzy â&#194&#128&#194&#147 A Sweet Senior Searching for a Quiet Home Jazzy is a gentle, soulful senior pit bull with so much love still to give. At around 9 years old, sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s mellowed into the kind of companion whoâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s happiest soaking up the sunshine in a quiet backyard, going for a car ride, napping in a cozy spot by your feet, or joining you for a leisurely walk around the block. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s fully housebroken, trustworthy when left alone, and perfectly content to snooze the day away in a crate or on your couch while you're out and about. Jazzy has been a deeply loved member of our family, and this decision hasnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t come easily. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s been loyal, affectionate, and easygoing for so many years in many environments around many small children and animals, never showing signs of aggression. As sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s grown older, itâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s recently become clear that the energy of a busy household with small children and other animals is no longer the right fit for her. A recent incident involving our young childâ&#194&#128&#194&#148thankfully with no skin was brokenâ&#194&#128&#194&#148was an important signal from Jazzy: Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s ready for a slower, more peaceful life where she can fully relax and feel safe. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s not a dog who demands muchâ&#194&#128&#194&#148just a calm home, gentle companionship, and someone who appreciates the quiet joy of her presence. Jazzy thrives in a predictable environment where she can follow her simple routines, take daily strolls, and curl up beside someone who adores her. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s incredibly affectionate once she bonds with you, and she still has her little moments of playfulness and tail-wagging excitement. Weâ&#194&#128&#194&#153re hoping to find Jazzy an adult-only home without other pets, where she can be the center of someoneâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s world. She would be an ideal match for a retiree, someone who works from home, or anyone with a soft spot for senior dogs and a calm lifestyle. If youâ&#194&#128&#194&#153re looking for a loyal, low-maintenance best friend to share your days withâ&#194&#128&#194&#148one who will greet you with a wagging tail and rest her head in your lapâ&#194&#128&#194&#148Jazzy might be the companion you've been searching for. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Jazzy, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org.
