My story

Tara arrived at ARF at the end of March, surrendered by her previous owner along with her sister, Yarah. While they don’t need to be adopted together, there’s a quiet strength in knowing they shared their journey here—and we’d love for potential adopters to know about their connection. Tara is the kind of cat who doesn’t clamor for attention, but gently earns it. With her soulful eyes and serene presence, she draws you in without saying a word. She’s observant, wise beyond her whiskers and carries a calm confidence that makes her a comforting presence in any room. Whether you’re looking for a companion to share a sunny windowsill or a steady friend to sit beside you during quiet evenings, Tara may be your perfect match. She’s ready for her next chapter—one filled with love and security. Her ideal match will have a heart as open as hers and they will be someone who sees the magic of starting over. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com.
