Meet Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky, a guy who loves being outside, loves treats, and loves to play with other dogs. Lee is a 2 year old hound mix. He weighs 51 pounds and has a short black and white coat. Just look at his perfectly symmetrical coloring on his face: So handsome! He generally has a medium energy level but will match the energy of the other dogs as they play. He is perfectly comfortable being around kids and adults. He likes to have their attention. It is unknown if he has ever met a cat. Hounds come in a variety of types. But their personalities can be similar as they are known to be inquisitive, friendly, and intelligent. They are often lively dogs with plenty of energy, as well as being agile and of course, great trackers when using their sense of smell. Of course, he is a mix so it means he will have a variety of good qualities. Lee appears to settle in nicely in a home environment and is one of the elite work-from-home office dogs and a total couch potato. He will need some time and patience with introductions to new dogs but then he will relax after a few moments and off to play with his new buddy. His background is unknown, but we do know he is a good boy. Plus, he has earned a gold star for learning his house, crate and leash training. It is an impressive feat, and Lee is ready to show off his skills. It is important to remember that although Lee is house trained, accidents can happen while adjusting to a new home environment. Daily walks will reinforce leash skills as well as socialization skills. It will be a new world to him with all the new sights, smells, sounds, and people along his walk. He would probably enjoy visits to a local dog park or going on hikes. While at home, he will benefit from mental stimulation in the form of activities and play toys. That will keep him from being bored. Lee will make a wonderful family companion. Are you willing to take on the task of helping him transition to a new life? If yes, read on.The adoption fee for Lee is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue, and transport fees.
