My story

PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION INTRODUCING LUPIN…an extremely handsome, 4 yr old (DOB 6/6/21), red/blk/white, 17 lb ShiPoo….and we know this (even though we don’t see the Shih Tzu) because this young man was relinquished to us from an owner who got Lupin and Robyn (see below) from a breeder. Unfortunately, she didn’t know better….and recently found herself in the middle of a divorce and no means to take care of her kids, so she entrusted them to us. In our care, Lupin has been nothing short of wonderful! He is a cuddler, kisser (once he trusts you), very smart, knows a few commands and seems to be almost potty trained (but we never guarantee). His previous owner said he has a very sensitive tummy and does eat a special food — but we are transitioning him and he is doing well. He LOVES bully sticks and treats…and he’s a good weight. Lupin is an absolute character when he throws his bones or toys up in the air and catches them…or when he greets you doing pattycakes on his hind legs…this boy is a clown!! He can be a little human possessive — but for the most part, he is just a big lover! Lupin loves to be with people, dogs and just about everyone! He will bark to greet you initially, but once he knows you, he’s pretty quiet. If you have a dog and are looking for a companion for your pup, Lupin would be a winner! We are still getting to know him, but we think kids over 8 yrs old would be welcomed! He is definitely an entertainer. He will need to sleep in bed with you and he will get as close as he can — even on top of you, if he has space! Since he does not like being left alone, another small, playful pup a must! Does Lupin sound like a dog you could love forever? Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID If you are interested in adopting a pup from Lhasa Happy Homes, please complete the Adoption Application before calling. We will contact you once it has been reviewed. Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Our event is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring pictures or video of your home and yard if we have not done a home check (preferred)! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!
