My story

Howdy, I’m Big Tex! I’m a friendly, goofy guy with a heart as big as my name and a love for making people smile. I may be a little older, but I’ve still got plenty of pep in my step and even more love to give. Whether we’re going for a stroll or just hanging out, I’ll be your loyal, sweet sidekick through it all.FOSTER REASON: I am being treated for heartworms and awaiting a dental procedure, so I will need a calm home to relax in due to being under exercise restriction while undergoing treatment. This means I will need to be a couch potato and go for leash walks only! My foster family should be comfortable bringing me to the SPCA of Texas periodically for vet visits. Borrow-A-Buddy Testimonial:`Big Tex was great! Took him back to my apartment for a little and then we went for a walk. He was SO excited about the walk and was jumping with excitement when he saw his leash. He was a huge fan fave on our walk too! Lots of people wanted to come up and say hi to him and he loved the attention. He likes to sniff a lot but is easily redirectable. He is definitely a gentle giant with a young heart and we had a great time. He would definitely do best in a house or in a place he can stretch out a little more.`
