Are you ready to meet the sweetest girl with the biggest heart— whose goal is to people please? Well let me introduce you to Cheyenne. All this girl wants is some good ole affection from her people, and she deserves it too! She is absolutely precious! She even hid a tiny flower behind her ear on accident when hanging out with us. She can’t even help but be cute! Meet Cheyenne here: https://youtu.be/Mf5d-BsdIQU?si=-NbvZRyb_UqYLRGo Cheyenne is a very people oriented girl. Wether that be adults or even babies! She has never met a human that she didnt love immediately. She is a little nervous meeting new dogs, but she currently lives with other pups in her foster home that she gets along swimmingly with. These are smaller dogs too, so safe to say she can be friends with all shapes and sizes. Her foster says the time it takes for her to warm up to new friends is growing shorter and shorter. Just give her a minute to warm up to see her sweet self come out. Her foster says the thing she loves most about Cheyenne is her incredible resilience and her ability to trust and love so deeply, despite everything she has been through. She is the ultimate cuddle bug who is convinced she is a lap dog, she will curl right up with you. She is always eager for affection and ready to dish out kisses. Cheyenne is a big, cozy blanket of love, but she also has her independent side. She is perfectly content lounging on the couch on her own. She will always pop in to check on you and make sure you're okay. This is one of the many things that make her so endearing! When Cheyenne wants her space she will go to her bed. If you have things to take care of around the house, she will make herself comfy on the couch. Cheyenne is crated at her foster home during meal times and we are told she does really well with her routine. Outside of the crate, she is trustworthy and respectful of the home. She sleeps on her dog bed at night. She loves being tucked in for bed. She loves the car! She loads and unloads beautifully, she rides calmly and behaves well. Her fosters take her to training courses and on walks. She walks for up to 40 minutes a day and she absolutely loves them! She often goes to her foster and friends houses for new environments. Her favorite toys are little nylon bones, this girl does love to "decorate" the floor with stuffies. But her foster says shes not destructive in the home, toys are just too fun!! Her foster says that she is a very fast learner who responds well to direction, making her an easy dog to train. We believe Cheyenne could live in a home with another dog or even multiple dogs. With this being said, she would need time and loving encouragement from her person to help her adjust. She enjoys to sunbathe, sit quietly, and watch the trees and squirrels. She also enjoys taking the time to day dream and soak in her peaceful surroundings. She would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal, affectionate sidekick. Whether it is strolling through the neighborhood or cuddling up at home, she is ready to be someone's best friend. If you think this could be you, well, what are you waiting for? We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
