My story

Name: George and JJ Breed: Domestic Long Hair/Domestic Short Hair Age: 8 months as of 4/5/25 Gender: Neutered Males Cats: Yes Dogs: Unknown Children: 10 and older Litter Box Trained: Yes Declawed: No Adoption Fee Together: $300 Hi, meet George and JJ! They're very bonded pair and would love to stay together in a forever home. Though they're a bit shy and sometimes skittish, they've come a long way and are adjusting to their new life. George, the long haired one, is a total sweetheart who loves to cuddle and is a big fan of being a lap cat. He's all about relaxing and soaking up all affection. JJ, the short haired one, enjoys hiding under blankets, but he's also more playful and loves toys. While George gets along with other cats, JJ prefers to keep his distance. They're both still getting used to new people and experiences, but are ready to find a forever home where they can continue to grow and show off their sweet personalities. They've been at the ARP since 4/5/25 and are currently located at the shelter. The Animal Rescue Project is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed. Adoptions are NOT first come, first served! We seek to choose the best fit for the approved adopter and pet. Please understand that these animals are still new to us and their needs and requirements can change at any time as we learn more about them. We will try our best to get them updated online as soon as possible. All cats and kittens are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medical to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and mites they may have. All cats and kittens are feline leukemia tested, and cats at least a year old are also tested for feline immuno virus. Each cat or kitten receives the FVRCP vaccine; if a kittens stay with us is long enough, two or three boosters will be given after the initial vaccination. Most cats and older kittens are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of kittens not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $50 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization. The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.
