My story

Meet Hamilton, a one-year-old, 35 lb. hound/cattle dog mix with the cutest spotted coat, gentle brown eyes, and a spirit that’s nothing short of inspiring. After surviving four long months on the streets of North Carolina—camped out across from a drug house—this brave boy was finally rescued by animal control and flown to safety in Connecticut, where he’s been thriving in the comfort of a loving foster home. Now, Hamilton is learning just how good life can be—and he’s making up for lost time with every cuddle, tail wag, and kiss. He may have had a rough start, but this sweet boy has no mean bone in his body. He walks beautifully on a leash, gets along great with other dogs, and has shown nothing but patience, gentleness, and quiet joy. Hamilton is equal parts curious, clever, and affectionate. He adores attention and will happily crawl into your lap for snuggles or lean into you for kisses. He's also discovering the magic of lazy afternoon naps—usually curled up like the little spotted loaf he is. Being that it was difficult to trap him, he must go to a home with a secure fenced yard so he stays safe while outdoors and he'd prefer a home with another pup as that helps with his confidence. Though he was understandably timid at first, Hamilton is blossoming into the lovebug he was always meant to be. With a little patience and a lot of love, he’s sure to become your most loyal, snuggly companion. His adoption fee is $400 and he is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and will be neutered next month.
