My story

Peter is a 2-year-old Terrier mix with a heart full of love and eyes that tell a story. Found as a stray in Gulfport, he came into the care of HSSM on April 5th, 2025. Peter once had a family—people he trusted—but despite several attempts to reach out, no one came for him. He waits now, quietly hopeful, for someone new to see his worth. Peter is a young pup with the spirit of an old soul. Calm and laid-back, he’s happiest lounging in a cozy spot with a nap or two in the schedule. But don’t be fooled—he enjoys a good stroll around the block or a relaxing car ride, always keeping his manners in check. He’s a true gentleman on leash and a polite friend to everyone he meets, humans and pups alike. If there are treats involved? Peter’s your guy. If new furry friends are around? He’s happy as can be.
