Suede came into rescue as a tiny, premature kitten — part of our Soft Fabrics litter two years ago. Even then, he stood out. Born with his umbilical cord still wet and eyes tightly closed, he was massive compared to his siblings — so much so that we double-checked to make sure he really was theirs! Against all odds, Suede grew big and strong — surpassing every kitten milestone faster than his littermates. We celebrated when he found what we thought was his purrfect furever home. But life doesn’t always go as planned. Through no fault of his own — and without explanation — Suede was returned. At first, he was heartbroken and confused. He grieved hard for the family he thought was furever. But with time (and lots of love), Suede remembered who he was: the biggest, softest, sweetest boy this rescue has ever known. And yes — he’s enormous. Towering over other cats his age, Suede is lovingly nicknamed Big Boy around here. But for all his size, he’s still pure baby at heart. → 2 years old→ Fully vetted & neutered→ Great with other cats, dogs, and kids→ Gentle, affectionate, soulful→ Smart — comes when called by “Big Boy”→ Loves kisses & being held like a baby→ Instant purr machine (seriously — just make eye contact) And his fur? It’s unreal. Sometimes it feels like suede (hence the name), other times like a cashmere cardigan. Either way — you’ll never want to stop petting him. Suede would thrive in a home with other pets, kids, or just lots of love and attention. He’s social, affectionate, and happiest when surrounded by his people (or animal friends!). He’d love to go home with a foster sibling from the rescue, but more than anything — Suede just wants a real furever this time. A purrmanent place to call home. One that never gives up on him.
