My story

Buddy G was found near an apartment complex and quickly made himself at home with his finder for the day. He’s a friendly pup who has been nothing but a sweetheart. Buddy G allows handling with no issues and seems comfortable and social. With no chip and no owner yet found, he’s hoping for a fresh start with someone who sees just how great he is. He loved his walk in the park and had a high tail wag for any person or dog who walked by. He was non-reactive to pets and people - just curious and friendly. He loved to sniff, but was easily redirected when it was time to move on. He is a gorgeous grey blue color and is well built with a cute chunky head. He was recently found as a stray and he seemed to be looking for his owner as we walked. He was a little nervous in the car and was shaking a tiny bit, but once he knew he was safe he relaxed in the back seat. He loved going to the restaurant and def loves a good Philly Cheesesteak! He would do best with someone who is active and can get him outside for walks, hikes, or running. I hope her finds his person soon because he has a lot of love to give! Per volunteer 4/13: totally did NOT pull at all. He likes to sniff, but maybe more so because he is new. He took treats well. 04/11/2025 volunteer notes: Approaching the kennel he was standing with high tail not wagging, ears to the side, soft eyes, closed mouth. Presented the leash and his ears went back and his tail started wagging. Pulled moderately walking through the kennel with ears to the side, high tail. Did not solicit attention from the handler, tolerant of touching and did not solicit more. More interested in the environment. No interest in toys or play. Dog meet with Lee. He approached Lee with a tail high flagging, ears perked forward, soft eyes, giving Lee his side. As we walked Buddy G became to get bouncy and bounded away when Lee would come in for a sniff or just closer into his space. Over time his ears went to the side and tail went slightly down but still stayed high. 04/10/25 staff notes: Caller found dog RAL near her apartment complex and took inside. She kept the dog all day and posted on lost and found. Dog is very clean (does smell a bit like skunk).
