My story

Taz has recently experienced a lot of change in his life, and now he’s ready for a new home that can offer him some stability! At 30lbs, Taz is a medium-sized dog, but he’s a BIG fan of squeaky toys; As soon as he hears that squeak, his eyes light up and he’s ready to play fetch! While in the shelter, Taz has been friendly towards everyone he meets – which includes being extremely eager to meet canine playmates, you will need to bring any resident dogs along to meet Taz to ensure compatibility. Taz has lived with another dog in the past and done well, however, he seems to find young children a bit overwhelming so would prefer a home with older children or adult humans only. Come visit FCAS and get to know Taz today!This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff! Be sure to check the “shelter information” box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
