My story

Apply to adopt by filling out the online adoption application on our main website dakotadachshundrescue.org Click on Adoption Info under the Navigation bar on the left side of the page. Fill out the form by clicking on the picture of the computer screen with our logo on it.   Hi, I'm Skipper (Skip).  I'm 9 years old but you would think I'm younger.  I'm very affectionate and cuddly.  I walk very nice on leash and love to be outside with my person.  When you want to relax, I'm happy to snuggle on your lap.  When I need to go out, I stare at my foster mom and if she doesn't pay attention, I'll woof just a little.  I'm a pretty quiet fellla so you need to pay attention.  I'm also content to sleep with my foster mom all night or sleep in the crate in my person's bedroom.  I hang out in the crate when I'm home alone.   I might be okay at home alone loose but foster mom hasn't tried that yet.  I haven't had any accidents in the house since I healed from my bladder stone surgery.  I always go out just before bed and first thing in the morning.  I get along great with the two cats in the house and the Standard Poodle.  I've met a few dog friends that visit and we enjoy playing .  I'm a very friendly guy and I adapt well to new situations with love, attention, and a little patience.     Can you be Skip's furever friend!
