My story

A look into Kyo's soul We could tell you that Kyo is handsome, We could tell you we'd pay any ransom. We could tell you that he is so sweet, That owning him would be such a treat! But instead we will show you some things, That all the volunteers think he brings. "I love his sea green eyes and the way he follows volunteers around, like RIGHT behind them, to get attention. The way that he’s embraced all the things that have helped him be a better cat. His raised bowls, BATHS, his low litterbox, his feeding contraption, OTHER CATS." "He’s amazingly resilient and has overcome so much! He has a fighting spirit." "I love how he walks with swagger!" "I love how he will chase (walk slowly towards) the laser pointer!" "I love the relationship he has developed with Lorne (and any kitty buddy really!)" Yes Kyo is amazing, we cannot deny. But really you must meet him, please stop by! You'll fall deeply in love, we know this to be true. Adopting Kyo takes patience, but he will cure all your blues. Kyo would come with his special heating bed, a low litter box (but he also does okay with a low entry and high sides style), and a specially built stand to help with feedings. He deserves the best life ever, is it with you? ——— Kyo has healed himself. We built a custom feeder. We held the bowl while he lapped at food sloppily. We cleaned up so much urine from the floor. He couldn’t lift his legs high enough to get into a litter box. We got some more weight on him over months of work. Then Kyo found our Thermotex bed that had been donated….and healed himself. We honestly are shocked at his improvement. Kyo cannot climb or jump. He may never be able to. But he spends hours a day in his infrared bed, promoting blood flow, cell regeneration, and toxin removal. He knows what a litter box is for and he wants to use it. There are still occasional accidents but we also thought this cat was looking at a life of diapers. He proved us wrong. Kyo is a sweet boy who was dealt a really bad hand in life. But his heart has remained pure and loving. We have made Kyo available for adoption now. We don’t want this cat to spend his whole life in our shelter. His Thermotex bed will go with him. Kyo LOVES other cats and just wants to be included in whatever is going on. He needs a home that will embrace him! --- All of our cats/kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, vaccinated against Distemper, and treated for fleas and other parasites. --- Adoption center is located at 7962 CLYDE PARK SW, BYRON CENTER MI 49315. Our shelter is open by appointment only. Applications must be submitted and approved before appointments will be set. Applications can be completed at http://www.focusonferals.org/adopt/adoption-application/. Our adoption fee is Kittens through 6 months $125 or 2 for $200; Kitties over 6 months $100 or 2 for $150. Come on out and meet the love of your life!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Kyo, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
