My story

Meet Gideon Meet beautiful Gideon! Gideon had a tragic past when he was locked in a horse trailer as his Malibu home and went up in flames during the fires. In an attempt to run free and save himself, Gideon He tried to pry his way out and broke most of his teeth. After getting several different vet opinions, we were advised that it would do more harm than good to try and pull them out at this point. Gideon is a stunning 2 year old Cane Corso weighing about 120 lbs. He would need a home or owner with breed experience and understands that true to his breed, Gideon is nervous around new people who come close to the home or him when on walks. He will need a strong leader who will make him feel at ease and not leave him feeling like he needs to protect his family/home. Due to his past trauma, Gideon would understandably need a quiet home with very little visitors, so he can feel at peace and get the quiet he deserves. Gideon enjoys going on walks and being active, but it is also recommended he is taken out to quiet relaxing places to enjoy his time out. This boy enjoys the companies of other dogs and playing, but true to his mastiff breed, he can resource guard and will need a family who feeds him separately from other dogs in the home and keeps his bones/toys in his crate where he is comfortable. Gideon would love to have a sibling dog in the house and would really thrive from this type of company! Any adopter we consider must have breed experience and has only rescued similar breeds in the past. This is a must. Once this boy trusts you and settles into his new home, he would be the best companion giving endless amounts of love!
