My story

There is an adorable video of me on social media! Click here to experience the cuteness! Allie is a sharp and spirited husky enrolled in our Shelter Scholars program, where she's working on basic manners, learning some cool tricks, and diving into one of her favorite outlets-agility! As a working breed, Allie thrives when she has a job to do, and she's always eager to engage in new challenges (sometimes a little too clever for her own good). She's incredibly motivated, quick to learn, and full of potential-even if she can be a bit aloof and impatient at times. Allie is being set up for success in her foster or forever home, where she'll need both mental and physical enrichment to keep her happy, focused, and flourishing. My #BoroughBreak Buddy Writes: Allie is such a gem! She is so sweet and playful and loves to walk. As we walked, people commented on how beautiful she is, and we couldn't agree more. We explored Central Park and she excitedly trotted around, regularly looking back to check in with my friend and I to make sure she was doing a good job. She is incredibly sweet and we found out quickly how cuddly she is - when we stopped on a park bench to rest, she leaned against my legs and then put her head in my lap, asking for pets and ear scratches. She loved meeting strangers and would jump up to give them kisses, licking their hands. She might do well with a home with older children, given her tendency to jump up when saying hello. She would also do well with continued training and enrichment to learn great leash manners. She is a perfect 10 and I'm so happy for the family that gets to be with her. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 45 Age: 2yrs 1mths 1wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Allie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
