My story

Meet Frankco – Your Future Best Friend in a Bowtie (metaphorically, but he’d totally rock one)! Frankco is an 8-year-old distinguished gentleman looking for a peaceful home where he can enjoy his golden years in comfort. All he’s asking for is a soft spot to rest, a few leisurely strolls a day, and plenty of love. Oh—and treats. Definitely treats.Frankco is a certified nap expert and has absolutely mastered the fine art of chilling. He was found as a stray, and while he’s taking shelter life in stride, the hustle and bustle is a little much for this laid-back guy. He may have some gray in his muzzle and move a bit slower these days, but Frankco still has so much love and loyalty to give. He’s ready to spend his retirement as your loyal shadow, couch companion, and easygoing best friend.On his Dog Day Outs, Frankco showed everyone just how amazing he is. Whether he’s calmly hanging out in the backyard or cruising around town, he’s the definition of cool, calm, and collected. He rides great in the car (just keep an eye on the snacks—he will find them) and walks like a pro on leash, ignoring other dogs and distractions like the true gentleman he is.Frankco lives for tasty treats, and once you’ve got one in hand, you’ve got his full attention. He enjoys peaceful time at the park where he can observe the world go by—kids playing, dogs passing, squirrels doing squirrel things. He prefers a slow and steady pace, stopping for the occasional sniff along the way. He may need a little encouragement getting into the car, but once in, he settles in like a champ.Frankco would love to meet any potential dog siblings here at the shelter to ensure a good match, but he’s made it clear that he’d prefer a home without cats.If you’re looking for a kind, mellow soul who’s happiest just being by your side (especially if snacks are involved), come meet Frankco today—he’s ready to melt your heart and steal your couch.
