SHADOW BLUE*

My story

In the Zoolander movies, “blue steel” is the main character Derek Zoolander`s signature model facial expression. Lips pursed, eyebrows somehow simultaneously furrowed and lifted, blue eyes bright and focused- this is blue steel! We think that if our pup Shadow Blue had a signature look it would be called “perfectly puppylicious.” Tongue out, eyes shining, ears perked and smile wide- this is perfectly puppylicious! Shadow Blue’s volunteer friends sure think he’s pretty perfect, with one sharing: “Wow, Shadow Blue (or Blue, as his friends call him) is one of my absolute favorite baby boys! He has amazing puppy love and energy to spare! When you greet him at his kennel door, you can see that it`s the absolute best part of his day! In a play yard he is excited and spunky and loves to run around and burn off energy with his kennelmate. After he`s gotten a little exercise, he turns into the biggest smushy lover baby! He wants to give you hugs and kisses! As I sit in a chair petting him, he just flops over onto his back and gives me his belly for rubs. He is so, so, so, so sweet, I love him!” Shadow Blue has shared his kennel politely and has been playful, social and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Shadow Blue would likely do well with an active family who will give him opportunities to exercise his body and his mind. We can envision him as an adventure dog, hitting the trails with his family and loving every minute!
