My story

Meet Gus – Your Future Shadow With a Purr Motor (and a Messy Face)! Gus is an 8-month-old, all-black bundle of love, energy, and enthusiasm—especially when it comes to food. Mealtime is his favorite time of day, and he often dives in with such gusto that you’ll find bits of dinner still clinging to his whiskers. It’s charming, a little chaotic, and totally Gus. This velcro kitty lives to be close—he’ll curl up for cuddles the moment you sit down. If you’re still for more than five seconds, expect Gus to claim your lap and turn on his high-powered purr motor. When he’s not snuggling, Gus is in full kitten mode—chasing feather wands, zooming around with his besties, and turning anything into a toy. He’s especially close to his foster friend Hen-rieta, whom he often seeks out for grooming sessions and cozy naps. Hen usually obliges, and the two make an incredibly sweet pair. While Gus is incredibly affectionate, he’ll need a little time to warm up in a new environment. Change makes him nervous at first, but once he feels safe, his goofy, loving personality shines through. Gus would love to be adopted with one of his friends—Josh, Mia, Frankie, or especially Hen-rieta—or into a home with a friendly resident cat.
