My story

Rabbit has started to learn to love and trust people, but still has a way to go when it comes to being picked up or approached. She wants attention on her terms, but will come to you if you ignore her long enough. She does crave love and pets, but she's still very wary of fast movements or loud noises. She had a rough start to life, she needed her tail amputated (before she came to us, we aren't sure why), and she is missing a toe as well. She gets along great with other cats though, and loves to play! In her foster home she began learning to trust people through treats and wet food. Eventually she realized that people can be good, and that pets and skritches are amazing...so now she comes towards her people looking for love (or calls you over to her favorite spot). It will take her some time in her new forever home for her to feel safe and comfortable again, but sadly she can't live in her foster home forever. She needs a family that will give her that time, love, comfort, treats, and has another friendly cat (or more than one) that she can watch and learn from, but also play and snuggle with while she adjusts. She is about 9 months old, but petite for her age, so she will likely stay small all her life. Kittens adopted through FUR will be vaccinated, spayed or neutered, tested for Felv/FIV and they are microchipped prior to adoption. Typical Kitten adoption donations are $175, cash or cards accepted, sorry no checks. Southern California residents only, we do not adopt to residents not within driving distance of our adoption centers. Please visit our website, www.felineundergroundrescue.com to submit an application.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rabbit, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
