My story

Meet Huckleberry Huckleberry—is a 10-year-old Australian Shepherd with a quiet, steady soul. Though mostly blind, she moves through life with grace and calm, never in a rush, always taking her time.Huckie is in good health and enjoys the peaceful comforts of a calm home. She’s not overly social or playful, but she makes a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates the quieter side of life. Huckie coexists peacefully with other dogs and even cats, but she prefers to keep to herself, content just to be near her people.She’s the kind of dog who will quietly lay beside you while you read, work, or enjoy your coffee. She may not seek out constant attention, but she’s deeply comforting to have around—like a warm, steady presence you didn’t know you needed.If you have a soft spot for the old souls and a peaceful home to share, Huckleberry would love to be your calm and loyal companion.Big Paws of the Ozarks is a foster-based dog rescue in Northwest Arkansas.
