I’m a strong, graceful boy with a gentle heart and a curious mind. I love the outdoors and thrive when I get to stretch my legs and feel the wind in my fur. I have a good amount of energy and really enjoy active time with my people—but once I’ve had a good walk or some playtime, I know how to settle down and relax.I’m polite with my favorite humans and love leaning in for affection. You can even scoop me up into your arms—I don’t mind a bit! I already know how to walk nicely on a leash and have been told I’m a great walking companion. I’m also a thoughtful listener and respond well to routine and calm guidance.   Social Skills1. With People: I’m friendly and affectionate with both familiar faces and new ones. I enjoy attention and love being close to the people I trust.2. With Other Dogs: I’m generally respectful of other dogs and don’t make a fuss, but I’m more of an observer than a playmate. I prefer calm introductions and tend to ignore most dogs, though I can get a little uneasy with overly excited ones. I do best as the only dog in the home so I can build a strong bond with my humans without having to share affection.3. With Cats: I haven’t met any cats yet, so we’re still unsure how I’d react.   On My WalksI’ve had lots of practice on the leash and walk calmly beside my person. I don’t pull and am always aware of my surroundings. Exploring new places is something I really enjoy, especially when I get to take my time and sniff all the interesting smells. I’d be an amazing companion for someone who enjoys being outside and wants a dog who can keep up.   Life at HomeAt home, I’m a calm and gentle presence, but I do express myself when I have something to say—especially if I’m excited or hoping for a little extra attention. I’m used to using indoor pee pads, though I’m working on transitioning to outdoor potty habits, so I’ll need a bit of guidance and patience as I continue learning.I do great in a kennel and settle down quietly when I’m inside. I’m also very respectful around food—I don’t guard or fuss whether it’s people or other dogs around. I’m smart and attentive, so with some structure, I’ll adapt quickly to a new routine.   My Ideal HomeI’m looking for a loving home where I can be someone’s one and only. I do best in calm, stable environments with people who understand dogs and can give me the structure and attention I need. My perfect home would include:1.
