My story

Maisie is a two-year-old, German Shepherd mix that weighs around 50 pounds. She found herself on the county’s euthanasia list due to having a broken leg. Thankfully, she had already adjusted well to using to three limbs, as the fracture could not be repaired and she needed to have her front, right leg amputated. After receiving much-needed, orthopedic surgery, Maisie has shown just how strong, resilient and inspiring she is. Now, fully adjusted to being a tripod, she is ready to find her forever family! Maisie is an affectionate, cuddly girl who is the perfect mix of playful and silly. While she can be shy meeting new people, she doesn’t take long to warm up. She is dog-friendly (loves to play) and cat-friendly (calm and respectful). This clever pup who has already mastered leash manners, door manners, and potty training. She even loves going for car rides! Maisie’s ideal family would have a moderately active lifestyle, where she can enjoy regular strolls through the neighborhood.
