You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Koda, a delightful adult Mountain Cur mix who’s currently in boarding and eagerly seeking her foster or forever home! This sweet girl weighs 33 pounds and has a medium-high activity level that matches her playful personality. Koda came in as a stray alongside a Pyr, but as they aren't bonded, she's available for individual adoption. Koda is housebroken, with no accidents in her kennel, walks well on leash, and knows how to "sit" on command. She requires a 4-foot fence and isn't a digger or excessive barker. Koda is non-reactive to dogs of all sizes and absolutely loves meeting new people - she wants to be everyone's friend! She enjoys running and playing with other dogs and equally loves spending quality time with humans. This affectionate pup is incredibly loving, sweet, and lots of fun. She's a treat enthusiast who travels well in cars and doesn't mind grooming sessions at all. Koda enjoys enrichment toys and bones. She shows no resource guarding tendencies with food, toys, or attention. Her favorite pastimes include snuggling and being petted. Koda's ideal home would include another playful dog companion and people who appreciate cuddles as much as she does. If you call or e-mail you are reducing your chances of adopting this animal as we direct our time and energy to first serving those who apply. NYS Registered Non-Profit Rescue # RR102. National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) has been rescuing and adopting out Great Pyrenees since 2006. Our relationship doesn’t end with adoption, as we continue to support adopters throughout the lifetime of their dog. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. April 5, 2025, 4:25 pm
