Meet Sweet Pea!This beautiful 1-year-old girl is a gentle soul who is still figuring out the world around her. While the shelter environment has made her a bit nervous, she has shown that she truly enjoys attention—especially when she gets to cuddle up on a couch and climb into someone’s lap!Sweet Pea is looking for a patient and understanding adopter who can help her gain confidence and provide the training she needs to thrive. She has struggled with meeting new dogs in the shelter, so she may prefer to be the only dog in the home. If there are resident dogs, a required meet-and-greet will help determine if it’s a good match.Because of her sensitive nature, we recommend a home with older children who can respect her comfort level. We also encourage all family members to meet her before adoption to help her feel secure in her new home.With the right guidance and plenty of love, Sweet Pea has the potential to blossom into a devoted and affectionate companion.
