From her foster: Velvet is a sweetheart who loves to snuggle. She loves being around her family and will follow people around the house. She is a great buddy when you're in the kitchen, working from home, or just watching TV. Her love language is physical touch and you can never give her too many pets and snuggles. Velvet is wonderful with our overly affectionate 4 year old. She wants any sort of affection from almost anyone. Velvet LOVES being outside. She sometimes just sits on her front step watching the birds or on our back deck. She sleeps in her crate with no issues all night long. She goes in quietly and won't make a sound until you let her out. Velvet however is not super excited about other dogs. She is listed as a lab mix, but she has a pitty/Stafford Terrier face. She's loves chasing toys, playing tug of war, and running around. She doesn't destroy toys. Velvet would thrive in a home with a person who will take her out on a daily walk and has some sort of outdoor space where she can hang out (a balcony, fenced in yard, a deck) since she loves being outside. Since Velvet loves being around her family, having someone who works from home would be wonderful. She is tolerant of her crate and is okay being created while I'm at work. She doesn't need to be crated when we are out for a few hours but does fine in her crate if that's what we choose at the time. Velvet doesn't get into anything she shouldn't and understands when something is off limits. If someone is working full-time, I would just suggest long walks and a good amount of play time when they get home from work since Velvet thrives on those interactions.
