My story

I am named Scooby! My gifts are: I love every human and dog that I meet, I love chewing on bones and toys, I know how to sit (genius here) and I am a bouncy boy! Do I jump too much? Sure. But it’s because I’m filled with spirit and glee! I would love when you take me home forever, if we go to a training class together because I AM really smart and I bet someone would know how to get me not to jump when I’m excited! I weigh about 40 pounds and am a bit under one year old. My owners were not able to keep me anymore and I was mostly an outdoor dog. It was HOT out there. Woof. 🔥 So now that I’ve been in rescue (and central air conditioning!) I am completely house trained and I go in my crate all night without a woof or whine! Play me some Mozart and Beethoven at nighttime though, please, I now have fancy taste. My foster mom insists that I go to a forever family with a dog friend because I love playing with other dogs. Do I like kids? Duh, I love them. Should I live with small ones? I say “obvi”, but my foster mom says til I get this jumping situation down, probably not the best idea. I might knock over a small human in my exuberance. Everyone always asks, so I’m here to address the people directly: “What breed is he??” All I know is I’m ridiculously handsome and MIGHT be a Lab/Hound mix. Let’s not focus on what I look like (adorable) but my happy-go-lucky attitude wherever and whenever. I am a volunteer favorite to take to adoption events, farmer’s market, breweries, book stores…. anywhere that I can be social and maybe meet nice humans and nice dog friends! I love everyone, which is obvious by now, right? 🖤🐾🦴 If you are interested in adopting Scooby, please fill out an application at: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAY-A-61903 **Applications can take anywhere from 5-7 business days to complete.
